We all know summer is quickly approaching and what better way to prepare for it than with an oldy but goodie throw back track. We go back to June of 1987 and the album titled "Hold On" by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. This should sound familiar beacuase it made its way to the top of the charts in 1987. Grab your girl, grab a blanket and grab your pole (or have her grab it) cus we're heading down to the river.
This song is a tripute to a lazy night out by the river with your girl. The hook paints the perfect picture of a full moon and fireflies dancing around as you and your lady lose track of time. When the fish don't bite you can turn your attention to something else...like swimming in the river, as the song suggests. Take some advice from the song and plan a little getaway with your lady. Remember, nobody is counting how many fish you catch. Make sure you get this and add it to your summer playlist.
