Brad Paisley kicks off Country Nation World Tour!

Last night Brad Paisley kicked off his Country Nation World Tour in Camden, New Jersey with a big BANG! Since it was such a good concert we’ll let it slide that he kept calling Camden the city of Philadelphia…

First the night started with Charlie Worsham. His name may not sound familiar at first but his performance really kicked ass. He rocked the stage and made me go look for his album the day after. With that being said he also threw in an incredible cover of “Crazy Train” by Ozzy Osbourne. He replaced the lead guitar with a banjo and threw everybody for a loop. It was a huge surprise that sounded great! The only let down is that the songs on the CD are recorded at a much slower rate than how he played on stage. He set the mark high for the next act and maybe just a little too high. When you see the concert DON’T MISS THIS ACT!

He was followed by Leah Turner, who in my opinion wasn't very interesting.  Her band was great and easily out shined her own performance. She also did a cover of a Dixie Chicks song. For this act you can afford to go get a pretzel, beer or shake one off and not really miss too much. After that some DJ comes on that tries to spin and mix some country tracks but did a terrible job. You’ll see much more of him though as the night goes on so you’ll have to deal with it.

By this time you should definitely be in the concert hall because next up is Randy Houser. He sang songs like “Goodnight Kiss” and “Running Outta Moonlight” which were incredible. He sings with so much soul you just feel the emotion. Randy was incredible and got the crowd all revved up for the main headliner, Brad Paisley. The set list for the concert went:

1) Moonshine in the Trunk
2) Ticks
3) American Saturday Night
4) Southern Comfort Zone
5) Waitin' On A Woman
6) Celebrity
7) This Is Country Music
8) I'm Still a Guy
9) She's Everything
10) Beat This Summer
11) All I Ever Do
12) Then
13) Online (acoustic on B-stage)
14) Four-wheel Park (acoustic on B-stage)
15) Mud on the Tires
16) River Bank
17) Remind Me
18) Old Alabama
19) Water
20) Alcohol

The way Brad Paisley interacted with the crowd was incredible. At one point he took a selfie with somebody’s phone and swore that he will scower the ends of the internet to find that picture. He REALLY wants that picture. During “I’m Still A Guy” he sang it with such emotion that a man ripped his shirt right off! Now that’s a powerful performance.

Like I said before the DJ came back but this time it was actually entertaining. Brad and the DJ went head to head against each other. The DJ played a song and Brad had to repeat it or finish it. First was the dueling banjos tune, “Let it Go” from Frozen was in there but Brad got tripped up on “Eye of the Tiger”. This is when it turned into a full out rock concert ‘cus The drummer went nuts and next thing you know “Hot Teacher” from Van Halen was being played and Brad was just showing off.

While moving to the small stage located in the back of the hall brad paisley brought up a young couple that was getting married soon. He started playing “Then” while he invited them up to dance on the stage. It was beautiful to watch because he definitely made their night. I know this because the woman almost sucked her husband’s face off! Also after playing the intro to “Mud on the Tires”, he signed his acoustic guitar and handed it to a little kid in the crowd.

Overall the concert was exceptional and you HAVE to catch one of his concerts if you can afford to. He interacted so much with the crowd it’s hard to put into words how incredible the show was. Brad really seems thankful to all his fans and showed it last night. Great show Mr. Paisley. Well done.
