In this song he sings about a guy with a broken heart where all he wants to do is get back with his ex and of course she wants no parts of it. We never find out what caused the split but we do get to see how strongly he feels about the situation. He even mentions that he'll take her out so they can just "blame it on the whiskey". The lyrics are smooth and flow perfectly with the music. No matter if you're single or hitched you should be able to connect with this one.
