Happy Saturday y’all. Let’s shed a little light on Josh
Thompson’s latest album “Turn It Up”! It was released a couple months ago in the
beginning of April. He’s released two singles off of it and I’m sure you’ve
heard at least one of ‘em. The first was “Cold Beer with Your Name on It” and
the other was “Wanted Me Gone”. Both of which you should give a listen to because
they are catchy and you’ll regret it if you don’t! But let’s get to the real
song this post is about.
“A Little Memory” is a song about losing a girl but instead
of being pissed off he learns from it. He wasn’t listening to her and didn’t
change anything. Then the time came where she got tired of putting up with his
actions and called it quits. It’s at this point that he realizes the way he was
acting and is willing to make a change even though it’s too late to get her
back.
He doesn’t get mad and try and put her in the ground but instead
takes it like a champ and tries to better himself from it. Her leaving helped
wake him up and shape him into a better man. But the problem is even though she
left and they are no longer together her memory still lingers in his mind. No
matter how far he drives or how what he tries he can’t help but picture her
leaving day after day.
Learn from this guy’s mistake and make the little changes to
make the two of you happy. And if it does end learn from your mistakes and use
it to better yourself in the future. Don’t be that crazy ex that everybody is
afraid of meeting one day! Now enjoy this track and give the whole album a
listen. You can’t go wrong with this guy. Way to go John Thompson on a terrific
album.
We have no idea if the lyrics are right but at least it's the right song.
The people over at Taste of Country were lucky enough to get Josh to play an
acoustic version of it so be sure to check it out right here.
