Days of Gold:  If you're looking for something to relax and wind down to this is not the song for you. Jake starts off the this awesome album with this rockin' little country jam. It's fast paced and primed for speeding down the highway with your windows down on a hot summer day...
The song slowly fades in with a little guitar riff but the song really kicks in when you hear the shrill sound of the harmonica. DO NOT skip this song on the CD and when listening to it be sure to turn it way up!

Beachin':  Exactly as the title suggests. It's a laid back, chill out kinda song that you'll be singing throughout the day after you listen to it. It's just a fun song about lounging around on the beach with your girl and drinking. There's nothing but good vibes coming from this one. Be sure to throw  this on your summer playlist and hit REPEAT. Make sure you DO NOT skip this little beauty.

1972: Jake Owen pays tribute to some classic rock bands with this song and you can hear the influence. It'll have you tapping your foot to the rhythm of the guitar and kick drum. This will get you reminiscing to the years around 1972. But if you're like me and weren't around for that long, it'll give you some great bands to add to your collection and is still a totally enjoyable song. This song is just all about a good time and good music. Don't miss it!

Ghost Town: The feel of this album gets switched up a bit here with this track as the sound gets a little spookier. There's a little more of a story line to this one. It's about a guy that isn't with his girl anymore and is haunted by the thought of her. We aren't told if they broke up or if there was some sort of tragedy but that's the beauty of music, you can fill in the blanks yourself.  He is haunted by the thought of her everywhere he goes and just can't escape the thought of her. Nearly everybody can relate in one way or another so be sure to give it a listen.

Life of the Party: That awkward moment when somebody asks you about you and your now-ex are doing, thinking that you are still together. The first time this guy just brushes it off and goes out of his way to try and forget about it until her friend comes along and asks the same question. He lies once again and says they're "better than they've ever been" and parties onward. Although he's lonely he tries to make up for it by being the "Life of the Party" because he just didn't know what to say. Don't skip this one because we've all been there and probably don't remember much of that night.

Good Timing: Now we get back to that feel good vibe and a dreamy musical background. We are painted the picture of a guy and a girl that meet each other and destiny plays its hand in their meeting. They seemingly hit it off with his smooth talking and "Good Timing". You can just sit back, enjoy the thought of this happening between you and your mate, and just smile. Don't miss it.

Tall Glass of Something: Here's another laid back beach vibe getting you ready for summer. Even with the list of alcoholic references it's clear to see that he ain't talking about a drink. And you just can't argue that it is truly the best way to end the day. Gotta make sure you listen to it and add this one to your playlist.

One Little Kiss (Never Killed Nobody): Here we get thrown back to a complicated relationship situation again but the tempo is still solid and not overly depressing. The mood set by the background music is superb and really gets you feeling the way this song is intended to make you feel. Giving off the vibe that the music is setting this guy is still upset and confused about what is going on. The guy and his girl broke up but he gets a call asking if he's home and she comes over. You clearly get the vibe that he is heartbroken as she is just using him as a hookup now. He finishes the chorus with, "a little kiss never killed nobody but me" to show you just how he feels. It's a wonderful song that paints an amazing picture.

What We Ain't Got: This track slows everything way down. This shows the downfall in many of us by painting the picture of  another man with a broken heart. He was too busy chasing after things that he forgot to properly love his girlfriend or wife. He just started to take her for granted and ended up losing her. Now this is a want that he'll never get because he had his opportunity and messed it all up. Summing up the point that "We all want what we ain't got". You definitely have to listen to it at least once.

Tipsy: Here we find the guy love drunk off his girl. It's just a sweet and simple song that you can relate and relax to. While listening you can't help but think about your other and lose yourself in the music. This serves its purpose well and is a must add to your collection.

Drivin' All Night: Now things get slowed down once again but this time about a spring break fling that evolves into something a little bit more. After the week the two keep in touch and he goes out of his way to get to her. Taking road trips late into the night just to "hold you for a day". This is about a little more than lust and more like thoughtless, uncontrollable love that the two share and what he is willing to do to be with her. It's a must have.
Rating: 4/5

Sure Feels Right: To top off the album right we get a song about love that is just meant to be. Even with the risk and vulnerability associated with falling in love these two decide to take the plunge after indulging in some afternoon delight. The pair just click and everything's firing on all cylinders. What we get is a touching tune about taking a chance with love and finding the one. Gotta have it!
Rating: 4/5

Overall: If you don't have this album or any of the songs on it you gotta do yourself a favor and get it. This is just full of good music that just can't do you any wrong. The ups and downs are dispersed well so you can listen to the album straight through or on shuffle and still get a nice mix of tempo.
